The Weddings Resorts Of FijiWhile almost every resort in Fiji has a wedding package, we have selected the following resorts for their range of location and budget. We can also arrange weddings and holidays to the other Fijian resorts, but we know the following properties particularly well and highly recommend each one.

For Wedding Guests While all resorts will provide witnesses for weddings, some couples invite guests. Occasionally, because of budget or needs, guests may be accommodated at a different resort to the bride and groom. For example, if the couple chose the adults only Matamanoa Resort, nearby Mana Island could suit the guests better… or somewhere like The Fijian, where there are seven different room categories. If choosing the Sheraton, the self-contained villas may suit guests. If you have any special requirements in this regard, let us know and we will find the right accommodation for everyone concerned and arrange transfers by land or sea to the actual ceremony. |
There are three Sheraton properties on Denarau Island, 20 minutes from Nadi - the Sheraton Royal, Sheraton Fiji and the Sheraton Villa. They are perfect locations for a wedding ceremony with guests - with their own wedding chapel, no guests need travel far, and the superb selection of restaurants makes choosing a reception easy. Set in 25 acres of tropical gardens, this is a contemporary hotel with a touch of luxury. Guests have access to the facilities of all three Sheraton Resorts as well as the adjacent (and excellent) Denarau Golf and Racquet Club. Rooms are spacious with bright and stylish interiors and each with a view of the ocean. Ocean Front and Ocean Resort beachfront rooms have 24-hour Fijian Valet service.
The Shangri-La Fijian Resort is on its own private 109-acre island (connected to the main island by a causeway) 45 minutes drive from Nadi. It really is Fiji's complete holiday resort - affordable with a host of facilities and activities few can match. Somehow they have managed to create a resort that has a Fijian village atmosphere - while there are families with children and a kids club, there is still an atmosphere of romance with plenty of adults only areas. The Fijian is known as a family resort, but couples can get away from it all in one of 4 wonderful bures a bit away from the rest of the resort and there is a new delightful location for wedding ceremonies. It is a resort with excellent facilities including five restaurants and eight bars as well as one of the best nine hole resort golf courses you’ll find plus watersports. Weddings are fun at The Shangri-la Fijian, with many special settings to hold the ceremony including the beautiful Takali chapel.
The Warwick Fiji is located on the sun swept beaches of the Coral Coast, midway between Nadi International Airport and the capital city of Suva. Nestled in a tropical garden setting with panoramic views. The Warwick has their own wedding coordinator who can help with all the details for the perfect wedding in paradise. A dreamy sunset wedding on a beach or a romantic island wedding on Wicked Walu Island or, if you prefer, services can be performed at a nearby church. It is also handy to the registry office in Sigatoka.
Castaway Island is a first class tropical island resort, situated in the crystal clear waters of Fiji's famous Mamanuca Islands, easily accessible from the mainland and has something for everyone. With 66 individual thatched bures, beachfront, ocean view, or an island setting, they are all perfectly suited to the tropical climate and barefoot nature of the island - warm waters, beautiful sunsets and romantic evenings. Many young lovers go there for a romantic South Pacific wedding, while others renew their vows or celebrate a honeymoon. Most weddings take place at sunset on the jetty.
The tiny volcanic cone of Matamanoa juts out of the turquoise waters of the Mamanucas clad with dense brush and trees and rimmed by white sand beaches and crystal coral reefs… an ideal place for an intimate and secluded resort. There are no children under 15 and it's a place to totally relax with a cool drink by the pool. As well as hotel rooms there are 20 Beachfront Bures - nine on the sunrise side and eleven on the sunset side with overhead fans and louvre windows to catch the breeze. Marry on the beach at sunset under an arch hand woven in leaf, traditional Tapa mats, Fijian warriors, and a bridesmaid in traditional Fijian costume for an escort. Tropical bouquets, a choir, photography, champagne dinner - let the wedding coordinator arrange everything for you - all you have to do is be there.
Tokoriki is a friendly, relaxed and romantic resort with 25 beachfront bures on one of the outer Mamanuca islands. This is a very personal resort with natural beauty and a friendly atmosphere. Hammocks abound for a lazy unwind or, for the more active, there’s lots to do. The Island is surrounded by tropical reefs for snorkelling directly off the beach in front of the bure. The Honeymoon Bures are situated on the one side of the property to ensure absolute privacy and are high to provide panoramic views of the ocean. They feature a large bedroom with king size bed and sitting area, a double bathtub, double private exterior shower and private deck with oversized hammock. Tokoriki has its own wedding chapel located in the gardens of the resort, and features traditional Fijian stonework, stained glass windows, traditional Fijian hardwood floors, high vaulted ceilings and a wonderful tranquil outlook.
This lovely resort is located on the northern island of Taveuni (The Garden Island), a 90-minute flight from Nadi. The 7 modern bures (and villa) are nestled in beautifully landscaped flower gardens, bordered by white sandy beaches and overlooking the Somosomo Straits. There are no children under 15 at the resort. Taveuni Island itself has lush rainforests, 140 waterfalls and streams and exceptional diving (fantastic soft coral because of the currents) for experienced and novice divers alike. The resort doesn’t offer a 'disco-wild-night-life' type of holiday. With around 25 staff members at the resort to care for guests, it has a 'family' feel. Taveuni Island Resort specialises in Dream Fiji Weddings and boasts having one of the most stunning views in the South Pacific and Northern Fiji Islands for being married at sunset.
The Tanoa International Hotel is situated in 15 acres of lush, tropical grounds and is just 3 minutes from Nadi International Airport. It is Nadi's largest airport property and offers quality accommodation and superb service and facilities. For golf enthusiasts, nearby are the Nadi Airport Golf Course and Denarau Golf Course. Their 24-hour complimentary airport shuttle ensures that guests are met on arrival at the airport and transferred to the hotel, or to meet departure flights on time and it is handy to the Registry Office in Nadi for the required paperwork for couples planning to marry in Fiji.
